Installation of hydraulic equipment to prevent saltwater sluice in Ba Hon, Kien Giang, Viet Nam

Ba Hon saltwater prevention sluice is located on Ba Hon canal, right at Ba Hon park in Kien Luong town, Kien Luong district, Kien Giang province. In 2021, the sluice will be invested in renovating and repairing the valve opening and closing system with hydraulic cylinders instead of the valve doors automatically opening and closing according to the water level or lifting and lowering by electric winch as before.

Ba Hon sluice

1. Hydraulic cylinder for lifting and lowering gates:

- Piston diameter 200mm

- Rod diameter 125mm

- Stroke: 8400mm

- Cylinder coating thickness ≥255µm.

- Origin: from EU, G7

2. Hydraulic cylinder to open and close the clock gates:

- Piston diameter 80mm

- Rod diameter Ø45mm

- Stroke750mm .

- Cylinder rod material: Chrome-plated stainless steel.

- Thickness of paint coating on cylinder shell > 250µm

3. Hydraulic power station:
