North Ben Tre Irrigation System - Phase 1, Ben Tre Province

It is a combined bridge and sluice project, belonging to the North Ben Tre irrigation project invested by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development along with other works in the system. Built in Chau Binh commune, Giong Trom district, this is the first sluice in Ben Tre province to apply a new modern opening and closing technology controlled by a hydraulic cylinder system. Trung Nhuan sluice will help control salinity and irrigate 139,000 hectares of natural land in the districts of Chau Thanh, Giong Trom, Ba Tri, Binh Dai and Ho Chi Minh City. Ben tre; take the initiative in collecting water, draining water, washing alum, serving agricultural production in combination with aquaculture in the direction of diversifying crops and livestock; supplying fresh water for 20,100 ha of aquaculture in 2 districts of Ba Tri and Binh Dai.
